Globetrotting: Saint Louis, Missouri
What a wonderful block! We can't believe we're already two-thirds of the way through, but here is the block of the month for June! Pat takes her inspiration for this one from the Gateway to the West, Saint Louis, Missouri. Be sure to touch bases on Flickr and Pat's Facebook group (follow the link below) to see what everyone else has been up to. But first, feel free to download the pattern and if you missed it, the materials list (see the download link to the side).

St. Louis is a special city! I got engaged there, we bought our first home and I made many awesome memories. I worked with some incredible people who taught me about owning your own business, making beer, building ultralights in your living room, the space shuttle launch, gardening, and cooking!
A few years ago on the way to an event we went through
St. Louis at dusk.. it was so fun to see the Arch again!

My dad and step mom came to visit us in our new home, they lived in Belgium so it was a big trip! How do you like the outfits? It seems dad and I wore the same thing to work.. what?? And my GLASSES and Karen's jump suit? A fun trip down memory lane!
Where were YOU in 1982?
Above are the two blocks, the blue and white is with Clothworks fabric Everything Blue. The Red and Grey is my Bobbins and Bits from from Moda.

I highly recommend that with dark/light quilts you prewash your fabric. I don't want any tears later when you wash that quilt and it runs blue onto white ..eep! The step of prewashing can be done quickly and then you are ready to rock and roll.
Many of you have joined me at my quilt group on Facebook called Quilt with Pat Sloan
. We are sharing our Globetrotting blocks and MUCH MORE! Everyone has been showing the quilts they are working on, asking for help and advice, and having more fun than you can have at any spot on Facebook.. so join me by clicking the link above.
We have a Flickr page for sharing photos. Click the link below to go to the group page and become a group member for free, then you will be able to upload pictures of your own materials selections and the blocks that you create throughout the BOM. Click Here for the Flickr Group
