The Hoopsisters Twisted Tote class at Smith-Owen Sewing is a hands-on workshop designed to teach students how to create a stylish and functional tote bag. During the class, students will learn how to use an embroidery machine to quilt the fabric pieces that will be used to create the tote bag. You will learn how to sew the blocks together (including zippers) to achieve the twisted effect and add finishing touches, such as pockets and straps. You’ll have a choice of two sizes

The Hoopsisters Twisted Tote is a versatile bag that can be customized to suit individual preferences. Students will have the opportunity to choose their own fabrics and embellishments, allowing them to create a tote bag that reflects their personal style.
This tote is lined and has four (4) zippered pockets on the outside and four (4) zippered pockets on the inside. The bottom is squared making it easy to tote around your large items. By the end of the class, students will have gained the skills and confidence needed to create their own twisted tote bags at home.

There is sewing required to stitch your blocks together, including sewing in your zippers. It is a easy and fun bag to make.

SUPPLIES

- Twisted Tote Design by HoopSisters Pattern
- Instructions Printed or on a Tablet/iPad
- Embroidery Machine in good working order - you must know your machine 
- USB stick with Tote designs on it - Have your tote size chosen 
- Soft n Stable (it is the same as HoopShape)
- No Show Mesh Stabilizer
- Embroidery thread to go with fabrics
- Sewing thread to stitch blocks together
- Zippers by the yard (1 1/4 yd to 1 1/2 yd) 

FABRICS
- Large Tote 
         - 5/8 yard Focus Fabric (Main); 1/4 yard of four different coordinating fabrics; 1 3/4 yards lining and pocket fabric; 1/2 yard handle fabric
- Medium tote 
         - 1/2 yard Focus Fabric (Main); 1/4 yard of four different coordinating fabrics; 1 1/4 yards lining and pocket fabric; 1/4 yard handle fabric
