Kantha Play

Kantha means "Patched Cloth". This is something I've had fun with over the last few months. It's random and spontaneous, and no two will ever be the same. If you want to step out of  pattern piecing for a spell, take this class, it's liberating!
The sizes will vary, but most end up around 12" x 18". You decide what you want to make, it could be a wall hanging, table topper, placemats, etc.
We'll  play with shapes and color and then hand stitch lines, with heavier thread, across the whole piece for a dramatic affect.  I bet you'll want to make many.
I have a few all ready to gift, should the occasion present itself.
Supplies
Scraps in a color scheme or go for rainbow!
12 wt thread in desired color
#24 Chenille needle
Rotary cutter
Cutting mat and ruler (not to big)
Frixion pen
Travel iron and pad if you have
Sewing machine
Small piece of batting, if you desire.
