Fig Sampler of the Month
Instead of only one block each month, this time we are changing things up a bit. Since everyone works at a different pace, this 7 month class is designed to accommodate YOU. The sampler is designed to encourage you to expand your horizons and try new techniques to create a one of a kind. You will work at your own pace, but learn new and exciting ways to make block making easier each month. During the first class we will discuss the pattern and you will learn how to organize your fabrics for this project. Staying organized is the first tip for completing any quilt. If you need help to pick out fabrics, we can do that during this time also. We will go over some of the block constructions and many tips to get started on your venture. Sewing machine is not needed for first class. Each month following you will get the individual assistance you may need or just come sew to enjoy the company of everyone. Block construction will be demonstrated each month along with new and helpful ideas and tips to keep you on track. Come sew with us on a new venture for the fall and winter seasons.

Pattern - Halloween Figs Sampler by Fig Tree & Co.
Fabrics of your choice in quantities listed on pattern
Matching background thread (50 wt 100% cotton)
Sewing machine
Rotary cutter & mat
Sewing essentials - pins, scissors, etc
6 1/2" square ruler very helpful
6 1/2" or 8 1/2" x 24" ruler
Precision piecing glue
Small piece of mylar template (4 x 4)
Creative Grid Ruler CGRMSFG4590 - 6" flying geese & 45/90 degree triangle (optional), but very helpful in other projects also)
6" Bloc Loc Ruler
3/8" Clover bias tape maker (optional, but very helpful)
Sandwich size zip bags (needed for first class)
