School of Sewing Quilt Class
Attention all School of Sewing participants!
Ready to turn your sewing skills into a beautiful quilt?
This three-week class is the perfect next step for School of Sewing participants who are ready to take on their first quilt! You'll learn how to create accurate half-square triangles and combine them into a fun, modern quilt design full of movement and personality.
Along the way, we'll cover the essential skills you need to take a quilt from first cut to finished binding, including:
- Creating accurate half-square triangles
- Strip piecing
- Assembling quilt blocks and rows
- Creating a quilt sandwich
- Basic quilting techniques
- Finishing your quilt with binding
By the end of the three weeks, you'll have more than just a quilt top—you'll have the skills and confidence to complete a quilt from start to finish and the foundation to tackle many more quilts in the future.
If you've mastered the basics and are ready to make your first quilt, this is the class for you!

Tucker Trimmer 1 ruler for Half Square Triangles
Magic Wand
Clear Acrylic ruler
Curved safety pins for basting (size 2 recommended)
505 Adhesive spray
Quarter inch presser foot(recommended)
Walking foot(recommended)
Fabric marking pen
Fabric chart is listed on page 143. We will be making the Lap size. Any supplies needed along with fabric you will get a 20% discount.
