Modern Curves and Color Mixing

These quilt blocks may look totally improvised but they’re actually well thought out! In this class, you’ll create your own pattern, use that pattern to cut material with seam allowance, sew curves, and mix colors to create transparency!
You’ll leave this class with the skill to sew a curve, the confidence to create your own pattern, insights into choosing colors to create transparency, and one colorful, curvy 12” x 17” block.
Supplies needed:
Five Fat Quarters of solid colors adjacent to each other on the color circle
Sewing machine in good working order
Thread
Pencil or pen for writing on paper
6” sewing ruler with sliding gauge
Rotary Cutter
Scisscors
Marking pen, pencil, or chalk for writing on material
Seam Ripper
Helpful but not required:
Spray Strach, Personal ironing station, personal cutting mat large enough to fit and entire Fat Quarters
