EQ8 Basics: Class 1 For Beginning Users

If you have EQ8 on your computer and stare at it like a deer in headlights, then this course is for you! In this course we will familiarize you with the most common basic commands to build a quilt design. You will learn how to use the Block Library to layout your quilt design. Then the Fabric Library to audition fabrics. Also, you will learn how to import manufacture’s fabrics that you have in your stash or plan to purchase. Finally, you will learn how to access the yardage requirements and cutting directions for your quilt blocks.
Objectives:
1. To understand the most commonly used commands
2. To be able to layout a basic quilt using the Block Library
3. To modify the scale of your quilt and blocks
4. To color your quilt block by using the Fabric Library
5. To import manufacturer’s Fabric into the My Favorite Fabric Library
6. To layout an existing quilt design for fabric audition and yardage
7. To design an original quilt design
