Foundation Piecing Basics



Ready to turn foundation paper piecing into one of your favorite techniques? With Nancy’s expert guidance, you’ll pick up clever tips and tricks that make this method not only approachable—but actually fun. Say goodbye to hesitation and hello to precision! As you create a variety of designs, you’ll gain confidence and skill, discovering just how satisfying this technique can be.

Supply List: 

- Fabrics
          - The fabrics listed are for the whole quilt. For just the blocks you will make in class you can use smaller random pieces if you wish to make 
            practice blocks
          - 1/2 yard for the background of the butterfly and tulip blocks
          - 1/4 yard or fat quarter for the other parts of the blocks - 8 colors will be plenty

Supplies:
          - Rotary Cutter, 28mm or 45mm
          - Rotary Mat - 18” x 24” size
          - Ruler - 6” x 24”
          - Seam ripper and straight pins
          - Thread to match your fabric choices - 50 weight cotton 
          - Add-A-Quarter Ruler - this is required for class
