Embark on a quilting adventure as we create this charming backpack in your five favorite colors. Our designer, Lindsay, perfectlysized the stars to ensure a best fit for all the components. When you purchase the pattern from us, we'll include a coloring page to ignite your creativity. The quilted ensign, with lightweight batting, ensures both comfort and durability, making it suitable for all ages.

During the initial session, we’ll cut out all the fabric pieces and begin sewing them together. Your homework assignment will involve quilting the rectangular sections. Whether you’re a novice or an experienced quilter, this project provides an excellent opportunity to hone your skills. Your instructor, Lisa, will guide you through creating precise half-square triangles (HST’s) and achieving perfectly aligned points, resulting in perfect, bright stars! 

In the second session, we’ll assemble the backpack, covering techniques such as binding, grommet installation, and adding a secure snap closure.

Supplies:
- Pembina Backpack Pattern
- 1/4 yard of four solid color fabrics
- 2/3 yard for background/binding fabric
- 1/2 yard for interior fabric
- 18” x 43” piece of batting
- 8 Grommets that are 3/8 inch
- 5/8 inch snap or magnet for flap closure
- 2 1” D-Rings
- 2 1” Strap Sliders

- Sewing Machine in good working condition 
- Thread 
- Clips and Pins
- Hand Sewing Needle 
- Marking tool/Marking Pen
- Other basic sewing tools
