Quilt As You Go Pineapple Log Cabin

Learn how to piece and quilt this quil all in one step and assemble the blocks with a very simple quilt as you go method that can be used for many of your future projects.  The quilt can be made with any number of blocks.  I recommend you start by making a quilt with sixteen 12” blocks and a 6” border to finish 65 inch square quilt.

Add more blocks - get a bigger quilt.

This quilt as a scrappy quilt in two color ways, you will need as follows:
Center Blocks - 1/4 yard
Blue in the blocks  five- 1/4 yards
Light Blue eight - 1/4 yards
Light for the washing’s - 1 yard for the smashing for the backing and the front.
First Border - which is the easy washing to connect the quilt and the border - 1 yard.
Border - 2 yards
Backing squares and backing for the border 4 1/2 yards
Cotton or Cotton blend batting - Queen Size
50wt. Cotton thread that matches the backing and the washing fabric
80 Microtex needles
Rotary cutter, mat and rulers 6x24 and 12” square
