Sunset Over Dublin

In this quilt you will learn so many of the great basics that I have been teaching my students for years while working on 8” sampler blocks.  This is a class for beginners and advanced alike.

Supply List
8" Sampler Book by Nancy Roelfsema available for purchase at Smith Owen Sewing.
The book includes detailed instructions for 39 different blocks using these 10 techniques. The purchase price of the book is paid to the teacher. You can purchase it again via cash or check at the store. $30.00

Your fabric chooses will determine how much fabric you need for the blocks
The queen size quilt uses 17 different fabrics - 1/2 yard each and 1 1/2 year's of the background fabric

Sashing, cornerstones, setting triangles and borders shouldn't be chosen until you have some blocks finished.

Basic Supplies
Rotary Cutter 45mm or 60mm size - I prefer the Olfa Ergonomic style and brand
Rotary Mat 18x24" recommended

Ruler 6x24" or 6 1/2 or 8 1/2" wide
Bloc-Loc Half Square Triangle - 6" works GREAT
Sewing machine in good working order.
100% Cotton 50 weight piecing thread - neutral color
New Sewing Needles - Size 80 Microtex for piecing
