Elephant Walk Tie Quilt

Come play with ties or your great new favorite fabrics to create a quilt to treasure. Learn how to prepare and sew those memorable ties from a loved one and sew into a quilt to be cherished. This fun loving quilt designed by Laura and Peggy of Fiberworks is a great way to use scraps and those great new low-volume fabrics. The quilts made with ties can be used, reused and washed just like the ones made with all cotton fabric. You will truly enjoy the process of making the elephants walk the walk.

1. Elephant Walk pattern by Fiberworks
2. Fabric requirements on the back of pattern. (If using scraps you will need a fat 1/8 (9 x 22) for each elephant and 4 1/2" x 10 for each cap and blanket. I used 25 different ties for the elephants) 3. Sewing machine in good working order.
4. Quarter inch foot for machine
5. Sewing machine needle size 12 (80)
6. Piecing Thread
7. Add-A-Quarter Ruler
8. Rotary cutter & mat
9. Glass head pins
10. 1 yard - Woven fusible interfacing, if using ties DO NOT take the ties apart, leave them sewn together. The ties must be machine washed on gentle or hand washed using a mild detergent. Can be put on low heat in dryer or to hang to dry.
