Jelly Roll Rug

You've seen them all over the internet- so let's make one!  The jelly roll rug is a fun one to make- grab a pattern, a jelly roll, the convenient pre-cut batting strips and we will spend the day making one.  I will share some tips I've learned along the way.  So fun, sew addicting!

Supplies:

Jelly Roll Rug pattern
Sewing machine in good working order. **must have zigzag stitch
Regular sewing supplies
One jelly roll
Bosal precut batting strips (HUGE time saver) or cut your own 2 1/4 inch wide (just make sure it’s all natural fiber-no poly)
Large spool thread with 4-5 bobbins wound prior to class
Size 90-110 jeans needle
Walking foot and/or edge stitch foot very helpful
Large tote- the Smith Owen reusable tote is PERFECT-and you get all the perks!

For the second class:
bring your extension table (if you have one) and (2) 9x13 cake pans, metal or disposable
Best Press

NOTE: fabric strips should be joined end to end on the bias prior to class
