Jelly Roll Rug

You've seen them all over the internet- so let's make one!  The jelly roll rug is a fun one to make- grab a pattern, a jelly roll, the convenient pre-cut batting strips and we will spend the day making one.  I will share some tips I've learned along the way.  So fun, sew addicting!

Sewing machine in good working order **Must have zigzag stitch on machine
Basic sewing supplies
Jelly-Roll Rug pattern and listed supplies
Either pre-cut batting strips (timesaver!)  or batting according to pattern
Large spool of thread with 3-4 bobbins wound prior to class

Walking foot is very helpful
Size 90-110 jeans needles
Large bag/tote (like a reusable grocery tote to transport strips)
Iron and ironing pad is helpful
Must have (2) 9x13" metal cake pans or disposable aluminum pans
**An extension table would be helpful in addition to the pans above

Jelly roll strips may be joined end to end on the bias prior to class, so you can jump right into the rug making.
Also, batting may be cut into 2 1/4" strips prior to class if you chose to buy it by the yard
