Yo-Yo
Elephant IJ790 $8.99 Instructions and patterns for two adorable elephants. A 10" tall yo-yo elephant whose body is created with two sizes of yo-yos strung together with thick thread and a stuffed head. Also included in this pattern is a 4" x 10" stuffed version with a saddle made from small yo-yos. He makes a fun and functional pin cushion with a safety pin collar. Yo-yo maker templates used were Clover's size small (green), large (orange), and extra-large (yellow).

Patchwork
Purse IJ798 $9.99 This pieced patchwork purse is made from either 5 1/2" and 6 1/2" squares of coordinating cotton fabric or squares cut from your worn-out denim jeans. Several fabric squares are machine embroidered prior to assembly and strategically placed into the purse design. Grommets, leather strips, beads and store-bought handles finish the funky look. The purses measure 14" x 14" and 16" x 16" (excluding the handles) and are completely lined with two inner pockets.

Pincushions - IJ794 $8.99 These pin cushions are made using downloadable vintage artwork printed onto fabric. They are embellished with vintage lace, buttons, and filled with either lavender potpourri or emery. They can store your pins or sharpen them. The pattern includes instructions to download two of the vintage artwork pieces shown that you can print onto printable fabric using an ink jet printer. Bella
Bag IJ792 $9.99 A versatile bag in two sizes - purse or tote. The roomy shoulder bag with a magnetic or button closure is lined and has an interior pocket. The vertical and horizontal seams on both the front and the back lend to the creative use of fabrics. The round flat bottom allows it to sit easily. Use two or more coordinating cotton fabrics alternating them as desired. Or use one fabric and embellish the top half of the bag using needle felting techniques (instructions enclosed). Approximate sizes of the purses (excluding handles) are 19" wide x 13" tall and 22" wide x 16" tall. For a different look a second closure can be added to the bag. |

Urchins
Bradley and Judy Niemeyer designed the layout and foundation pieces for Sea Urchins from a collection of bright and dark mottled batiks designed by Hoffman Fabrics. A sewing technique called foundation paper piecing is used when sewing the pieces onto the foundation units. Curved piecing and traditional piecing skills are required to join the units after the foundation piecing is completed. This pattern uses a template layout sheet for cutting the fabric.
