Fancy
Stitchin'
by
Smith Street Designs with
Pam & Kathi
Try the look of crazy quilting done on the embroidery machine. The 5”
blocks are appliqué embroidery and the stitching looks like perfectly
executed hand embroidery stitches. Make a few blocks for a wall hanging
etc. or keep making blocks for a quilt on it’s own or to be added into a quilt
pattern. Either way the blocks are beautiful and do not take a lot of
time. This is a technique class for those of you that are comfortable with
your embroidery machine.

Madeira
Windows Doll Dress, Half Slip & Bib
with June Cook
In three class sessions we will be making the half slip, doll dress and bib that
together make up this Madeira Windows Doll Dress. Using a basic
to-the-waist dress for your 18” doll, we will construct a dress featuring a
bracket-shaped hem edge with an organza border. The organza windows are
created using a reverse Madeira appliqué technique with a pretty embroidered
bow at the center of each window. The full-bodice organza bib is accented
with machine embroidery and bordered with entredeux and a lace-edged organza
ruffle. Satin ribbon ties hold the bib at the sides. A matching
half-slip completes this darling outfit.
