MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN

3 quarts popped popcorn
1 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup white Karo syrup
1 stick butter or margarine
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Pop approximately 3 quarts of popcorn.  Set aside

In a microwave safe bowl combine the brown sugar, Karo syrup, and  
butter.  Microwave for 2-3 minutes or until hot and bubbly.  Add  
baking soda and stir until mixed through.

Spray the inside of a clean brown paper grocery bag with Pam cooking  
spray.  Pour the popcorn in the bag  and then pour the caramel mixture  
over the popcorn in the bag.  Fold the top of the bag down and put the  
bag in the microwave.

Microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes.  Take the bag out and shake it  
up.  Put  the bag back in the microwave.  Microwave on high for 1 1/2  
minutes.  Take the bag out and shake it up.  Put the bag back in the  
microwave.  Microwave on high for 30 seconds.  Take the bag out and  
shake it up.  Put the bag back in the microwave.  Microwave on high  
for 30 seconds.  Take the bag out and pour caramel corn on greased  
cookie sheets to cool.  When cool, break apart and store in an air  
tight container.
