Supplies
Sewing machine in good working order
Pattern - Beary and Bright by McKenna Ryan
Basic sewing supplies
Free motion (darning) foot & 1/4" piecing foot
Open toe embroidery foot if you choose to zigzag or blanket stitch
Needles - Microtex Sharp #70, Topstitch or Embroidery #80
Neutral 50wt thread to piece and 40wt variegated/solids or invisible to appliqué
Sharp scissors - I prefer 8" to cut appliqués
Pencil & eraser
1 yd fusible (I prefer "Mistyfuse" available by the pkg.  You can decide this after class discussion)
Teflon sheet (2 reg. size or 1 large)
Stabilizer if you if you plan on thread painting before quilting

3/8 yd background
5/8 yd border and binding
1/3 yd or FQ for colorful mountains
1/2 yd or FQ for tan hillside
1/4 yd or FQ for purple/green grass
1/4 yd or FQ or scrap green for trees 1 & 3
1/8 yd or FQ or scrap green for tree #2
1/8 yd or FQ or scrap green for tree #4
1/8 yd or FQ or scrap brown for tree trunks
1/4 yd or FQ black for bears
1/8 yd or scrap tan for bear noses
1/8 yd or FQ or scrap red for garland & cardinal tree topper
1/8 yd or scrap for purple tree topper
1/8 yd or FQ or scrap for bow in bear's mouth
1/8 yd or scrap for ornament in bear's paw
1/8 yd or FQ or scrap green for light string
Scraps for lights on string
Batting and backing (23" x 32") if you want your appliqués to puff out and not do any thread painting
