Supplies
Sewing
machine in good working condition
Kit - includes pattern and material
Basic sewing supplies
Free motion and/or open toe embroidery foot, 1/4" piecing foot
Sharp scissors to cut appliqués
Microtex Sharp 70 needles to piece
Topstitch or embroidery 80 to appliqué
Neutral 50 wt thread to piece
Variegated/solid/invisible for appliqué
Pencil & eraser
1/3 yd fusible (I use Mistyfuse. If you choose this method, you
will need parchment or freezer paper & a light colored pencil)
Teflon sheet
8" square of batting per block plus 8" backing if framing or
wrapping - 10" stabilizer instead if making a quilt
